Overview:

KInd Connect is a conceptual app and responsive web platform designed to connect nonprofits with volunteers seeking opportunities to give back. Many organizations struggle to reach willing volunteers, while individuals often find it hard to discover relevant opportunities. This concept bridges that gap with a user-friendly, engaging experience.

Goals & Objectives:

Simplify the process of finding and signing up for volunteer opportunities
Help nonprofits effectively reach and manage volunteers
Create a modern, intuitive platform that encourages ongoing community engagement
Build trust and motivation through streamlined onboarding and clear user flows

Connecting Volunteers and Organizers

Developed a user persona for a potential volunteer, identifying key pain points and mapping user flows to illustrate their journey when searching for and signing up for opportunities

Cameron is a college Student who needs an easy way to find places to volunteer because he is limited on time and prefers convince.

Designed a detailed user profile for a potential event host, identifying her unique pain points in recruiting volunteers. Developed a tailored user flow that addressed these challenges and streamlined the event-hosting process.

Amber is a Volunteer Coordinator who needs to find volunteers for upcoming events because she works for a non profit that needs volunteers to remain open

Real User testing and feedback

Gathered friends and conducted unmonitored research for feedback of my first prototype. Getting valuable feedback on what I missed and how to make things better for my potential user!

I like the tags, so I can search for what I want. But why is suggested the only option once I go into my profile. Am I able to search using the tags? Or what about being able to favorite ones I want to come back too?

Wait, am I going to get reminders for this event. What if I want to turn off reminders after I put it in my planner? Unnecessary reminders are so annoying.
